Moab Adventure Elopement

Being an elopement photographer I often get the question —”Do people actually do all these crazy things in their wedding outfits?” and simply the answer is
Most of the time, No
You see, its not that you cant climb, bike, snowboard, etc in your wedding outfits—you 150% can if youre careful (safety first). The thing is SO MANY of my couples are wanting to try something new and adventureous for the first time as a way to bond. So, as epic as it would be for them to have their wedding outfits on, without prior experience it can be really dangeous to try something new dressed up.
Enter: THE ADVENTURE SESSION
An adventure session is the perfect way to incorpate a new and exchilirating adventure in your wedding day(s) without having to do the ceremony itself in your outfits. Its a great way to bond, grow closer, and truly LIVE before (or after) saying “ I DO”

It was really important to the gals that they have time to just BE together when we worked on their timeline—with their busy lives, raising a family, their pets, their careers»
focus on quality time and being in the moment was SO important.
So after a fun filled morning canyoneering they shared a drink, danced in the desert, and read letters from their loved ones
Wedding day!
An unseasonably chilly morning greeted us for their Canyonlands National Park Elopement ceremony. They exchanged vows at Grandview overlook before cutting cake and noshing on a picnic of string cheese, grapes and other childhood favorites.
Now, when I say it was unseasonably cold—it got into the 30s—in May—in the desert
Shivering. Cold. Not stoked
Luckily the gals decieed to add flex coverage to their day so they could have anothe change for photos isntead of having to suffer the (safe but not fun) cold. So, two days later we met up and I drove them out to a secret spot where they got to dress up, goof off, and spend more time together getting photos that theyll cherish forever
