Oregon Coast Elopement
How do you summarize two incredible days into a couple words and a handful of photos?
Well, I guess a short story will have to do.
You see, when A + M reached out to me for their wedding day they never imagined that they would end up getting married 3 times.
Yes, you read that right they got married 3 times
Each wedding was filled with love, joy, excitmenet and conenction but there is a somber reason why there were so many weddings
Let me start by clarifying that I really hate that this happened to them but I can honestly say the support they got and how they handled it speaks volumes about their strength as a couple.
You see, M is Colombian and he had hoped to have his family at his side in Oregon to witness him marry the love of his life.
Unfortunately due to tightened immigration policies and a lovely new rule of being required to appear in person for visa renewals, part of his family was unable to attend. Not the news you want for your wedding day.
Making the most of the situation, a month before the stateside vows, A + M, as well as A’s family flew down to Medellin for a truly badass last minute celebration with M’s family.
Despite this speedbump they were in high spirits and ready to celebrate for their two day adventure with me.
Day one started with a risque photo session, first looks and some private vows before jumping in the frigid ocean (for admittedly some other spicy pics :p)
Post ocean dip they changed into matching tracksuits and headed off to have a picnic at a second location and cut cake.
Ive thought long and hard about whether or not to tell this bit of the story but, to be honest, its pretty dang funny.
A hired out an absolutely gorgeous picnic setup with a local company. Unfortunately they didnt take into consideration the tide and its pretty possible** that the tide came in and tried to take the set up right after they cut cake
Really, though—-would it be an adventure elopement without a little misadventure?
